FAQ
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
I ship all orders within 1-2 business days via USPS (not guaranteed on Saturdays). You will receive an email notification on the status of your order along with its tracking number - if applicable. Some tracking may not be available after it leaves the USA. Time frames may be delayed - if this does happen, a banner will appear in red on the top of the website letting customers know and what date all orders will ship. Any pre-ordered items will have an estimate here and also on their designated item page.
FREE SHIPPING: All orders in USA that are $100 or more (before tax) qualify for free shipping and will be noted at checkout.
My best shipping estimates but not guaranteed:
USA = First Class: 2-7 business days Ground Advantage: 1-4 business days
Canada = First Class: 11-20 business days Ground Advantage:6-10 business days
UK and Europe = First Class: 11-25 business days Ground Advantage: 6-10 business days
**If you haven't received your order after 30 days from shipment date, please contact me!**
If you see the option available for local delivery at checkout, that means you live in a zip code that I can hand deliver to your front door free of charge! (I cannot hand deliver to PO Boxes). No minimum order for this option at checkout if you live within specified zip codes. You will receive a notification email when your order is out for delivery and when it has been delivered. I legally cannot put your order in your mailbox - I will place your order at your front door or inside your storm door. I may knock to wave hello from a distance to be safe during any COVID times. Please allow up to 3 days for local delivery but usually it will be delivered next day with or without email notification of time frame of delivery.
SALES TAX AND IMPORT/VAT
USA: Sales tax will be charged for all Illinois residents at the Rockford, IL rate unless ordered through Facebook/Instagram Shopping - in this case it will charge all applicable taxes to where your shipping address is.
All other countries: Please know that import taxes and VAT may be collected when you receive your item outside of the USA. This really does stink. Unfortunately, it is really unpredictable if you will be charged these taxes. They can be awfully high tho so please check with your local tax authorities on what the possible taxes may be.
HOW ARE ITEMS PACKAGED?
USA and Canada: All prints will be shipped flat unless noted in description - usually only the larger oldies prints will ship rolled. All other items will ship in boxes. Single cards will ship in a stay-flat stiff mailer - if you order multiple singles they may ship in a box.
All other countries: Prints that are larger than 11x14” will ship rolled for better protection while traveling overseas. Larger prints are more prone to getting very smashed corners. All other items will ship in boxes. Single cards will ship in a stay-flat stiff mailer - if you order multiple singles they may ship in a box.
DAMAGES AND ISSUES
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact me immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item - I can then evaluate the issue and make it right. Pictures of packaging and damaged items will be helpful for determining the issue and improving packaging techniques to help prevent future issues for other customers. You can use the contact me page for issues and Kari{@}Lemuette.com for sending photos for mail damages.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
Unfortunately, I cannot accept returns or exchanges. I am a one-woman print studio and rely on your purchases for furthering my artwork, studio, and livelihood. Thanks for understanding! Of course, please contact me with any issues with your order tho and I'll aim to make it right.
ARE ALL YOUR ITEMS HANDMADE?
Yes! I make all the items in my shop! I hand carve woodblocks and rubber to print on paper, cards, sketchbooks, magnets, gift tags, and garlands. All prints are hand printed on the three presses in my home studio. Nothing is digitally printed. ONLY stickers are reproductions of the prints or digital designs. Of course, some raw materials I do purchase pre-made like wood ornament and magnet pieces, string, journals, magnets, paper, ink - I can't MAKE EVERYTHING. For framed prints, I cut the mats myself and put the frames together. For framed woodblocks, I have worked with a local framer for help and recently employed my husband to make the wood frames. Letterpress items are printed with vintage wood type and also some newly made type by other makers who are keeping the letterpress traditions alive. My designs and arrangements of these letterpress prints are my own.
