"Flutterby" is a cute little print inspired by the now endangered monarch butterfly. A wonderful critter for remembering spring is near and flowers will bloom. Keep planting that milkweed!

Printed on cream thick cotton paper with yellow, orange, red inks from a hand carved wood block used for my "Flutterby" edition. The background color was actually printed from a copper plate during my college days! This was a fun way to use up some good paper and make a unique print. It's a "ghost" print because the block is printed with any leftover ink on the block after it's already been printed. This leaves the print a bit speckled and see through. Title, artist signature, edition number, and year of production appear on the front.
